  8. Co63 Loa, capital of the kingdom of A6u La5c under King An Du7o7ng Vu7o7ng,
  9. is located about 12 miles north of Ha2 No65i.  Recent excavation uncovered
  10. ancient arms and many bronze arrowheads.  Three of the nine ramparts that
  11. covered an area of more than two square miles are still visible.  Co63 Loa
  12. got its name from the shape of its ramparts, a series of concentric circles
  13. enclosing a rectangular citadel.  The five-mile outer wall, sixteen feet high
  14. with forty-foot high watchtowers at certain strategic points, was reinforced
  15. with bamboo hedges and surrounded by a deep moat.  Co63 Loa was not only an
  16. authentic, pre-Chinese Vie65t capital but also something of an architectural
  17. marvel suggesting that A6u La5c had both large population and high degree of
  18. social organization.
